Tanja Anderson, MD, LMT

I graduated from the 600-hour massage therapy training at Holistic Massage Training Institute in 2009 in order to fulfill Maryland state requirements - having initially graduated in 2002 from the 700-hour massage therapy training at The Soma Institute of Clinical Massage Therapy in Chicago. My experience at HMTI was great. I really appreciated the small classes and flexible scheduling choices. The instructors are excellent. They are knowledgeable and experienced as practicing massage therapists and as teachers, and are excited to pass their knowledge to their students. I am a National Board Certified Maryland State Licensed Massage Therapist, a Reiki Master/Teacher and a certified Holistic Health Practitioner, currently working on my Naturopathic doctorate thesis with the International Institute of Original Medicine.

As a clinical massage therapist I successfully treat a variety of conditions such as chronic neck, shoulder or back pain, tendonitis, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome among others. As a certified prenatal massage therapist I can help resolve muscle pain, stiffness, fatigue and sleep problems that often occur during the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy.

My signature massage is a 90 minute combination of massage using essential oils, Reiki and Reflexology specifically designed to help those who suffer from chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, anxiety, headaches, high stress or sleep problems. It creates amazing results and leaves you feeling deeply relaxed, centered and grounded.
